Inspired by Van Gogh's Cypress With Wheat Fields. These are carded twice, first to create layered blends of the main colors, then to combine into the gradient.
This is a smooth batt with just a hint of texture. The spun yarn sample was created from rolags rather than a gradient batt, with the color shifts allowed to ply back upon themselves. To create a similar effect, you could either break the batt down into faux-lags or just strips that go across rather than down the grain of the batt, or spin directly from the batt "across the top".
