Pluot: plummy and warm, a deliciously rich shade reminiscent of aubergines, kettle-dyed in small batches.
TONALITY: dyed-to-order fibers, designed to color-coordinate with each other, and available on any of the numerous bases we have in stock. Choose your quantity (in ounces) and your base of choice, and your fiber will be dyed just for you.
In image 2, bases from top to bottom are: Organic Polwarth, Merino/Soy, and Classy Sock. Note that bases containing bamboo will contain white streaks when dyed; Soybean does take on some color but in a warmer hue.
Made to order items will ship approximately 1-2 weeks from date of purchase. If the base of your choosing is not showing in stock in the quantity you desire, please contact Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org as most bases can be restocked fairly quickly.
Classy Squid Fiber Co. fibers are designed to provide a wonderful spinning experience, but would also be gorgeous if used for felted designs or as accents in weaving. My Organic Polwarth & Falkland wools are sourced from the Falkland Islands, UK, where the sheep are raised free of pesticides & chemicals in a pristine environment. Fibers are hand-dyed by me, Amanda, in my smoke-free, pet-free studio using professional grade acid dyes. I do my utmost to run my dyeing studio in an environmentally-friendly manner.
To care for your creations and avoid felting, hand-wash your items in cool water with a mild wool wash such as Eucalan or Soak, without agitation, and allow to air-dry.
