Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's pantings, a new series at Classy Squid Fiber Co.
Cafe Terrace is carded into a smooth gradient of colors, from the cobblestone street to the brilliantly lit cafe, deep dark blue-greens of the rest of the city and a night sky full of stars. Each color you see in this batt is the result of bits and pieces of wool from various dye pots, creating a painterly effect as numerous shades blend and mix.
This series utilizes a blend of various fine wool tops as the base, including Polwarth, Falkland/Merino, Merino, Rambouillet, and BFL. This batt will contain a mix of those wools, and is quite next-to-skin-soft.

Classy Squid Fiber Co. rolags are designed to provide a wonderful spinning experience, but would also be gorgeous if used for felted designs or as accents in weaving. My Organic Polwarth wool is sourced from the Falkland Islands, UK, where the sheep are raised free of pesticides & chemicals in a pristine environment. Fibers are hand-dyed by me, Amanda, in my smoke-free, pet-free studio using professional grade acid dyes. I do my utmost to run my dyeing studio in an environmentally-friendly manner.
To care for your creations and avoid felting, hand-wash your items in warm (not hot) water with a mild wool wash such as Eucalan, without agitation, and allow to air-dry.
