"Sherbet" - soft oranges, peach, and yellow. These silky BFL/Bond cross locks are washed, dyed, and ready for your next crafting project. Perfect for lockspinning/tailspinning, adding pops of interest to art yarns, doll-making, weaving, or other crafty pursuits. Average staple length - about 5.5". Lock structure is a beautiful wave with tiny ringlet curls at the very tips.
Perfect for the "translucent mohair" art yarn technique, as well! Simply fluff up the locks and lightly corespin onto an interesting colored or textured core - the wool will float around it, creating a light and somewhat transparent yarn that is soft and delightful.

Scoured with Unicorn Fiber Wash, dyed with professional-grade acid dyes. For the photo I opened up the locks a bit so you could see them better, but to preserve the lock structure your locks will arrive more compact. To use, simply pull gently to release a lock, or pick with your hands to fluff up the fibers. Picked fiber may then be carded, combed, or simply spun as-is for sheepy texture.
Classy Squid Fiber Co. fibers are designed to provide a wonderful spinning experience, but would also be gorgeous if used for felted designs or as accents in weaving. My Organic Polwarth wool is sourced from the Falkland Islands, UK, where the sheep are raised free of pesticides & chemicals in a pristine environment. Fibers are hand-dyed by me, Amanda, in my smoke-free, pet-free studio using professional grade acid dyes. I do my utmost to run my dyeing studio in an environmentally-friendly manner.
To care for your creations and avoid felting, hand-wash your items in warm (not hot) water with a mild wool wash such as Eucalan or Soak, without agitation, and allow to air-dry.
